Q: Does Natural Gas perform like Propane at -40 °F (-40 °C)?
A: No. Natural Gas vaporizes/liquefies at -259 °F (-162 °C) and Propane vaporizes/liquefies at -44 °F (-42 °C). So even on the coldest day ever recorded in Alaska, -80°F (-62 °C), Natural Gas will still flow with no problems.

Q: Does Heating Oil equipment burn hotter than Natural Gas equipment?
A: No. Stack temperatures from oil boilers may be higher, but boiler output tempertures are the same for similar rated boilers. Simply put: "A BTU is a BTU."

Q: Does Natural Gas equipment put out more Carbon Monoxide (CO) than Heating Oil equipment?
A: No. Even the best tuned oil equipment emits more CO.

Q: Will Natural Gas stop flowing if the power goes out?
A: No. The gas pressure will be maintained to your home, but your gas boiler or other equipment that needs electricy to operate will stop running.
